Dr. Sameer Bade

Dr Sameer Bade leads the Healthcare Integrated Business Unit for Amazon Web Services, bringing his 25+ years of healthcare industry experience to solve complex challenges around enhancing patient care, lowering cost and improving efficiency through the power of cloud-based innovations. Sameer most recently led healthcare strategy for Higi, where he was responsible for driving strategic partnerships with innovative provider organizations, developing value-focused solutions, and acting as a clinical advisor to the product development and consumer engagement teams. Prior, he served as VP, Clinical Solutions for Caradigm, a GE – Microsoft joint venture focused on enterprise level population health solutions. Prior to Caradigm, Sameer was a Sr. Product Planner (Engineering), Sr. Product Manager (Product Management), and Physician Executive for the Microsoft Health Solutions Group. In these roles, he worked closely with Sales, Marketing, Support and Engineering for successful go to market, sales, and implementation initiatives for multiple products across several healthcare segments (acute and ambulatory, lab, post-acute and research). Prior to Microsoft, Sameer served as Chief Medical Technology Officer and Assistant VP of Clinical Informatics Strategy at MedStar Health, the largest not-for-profit Integrated Delivery Network in the Maryland and Washington DC area.

Dr. Bade completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Harbor Hospital in Baltimore and served as Chief Resident. He then completed a Bioinformatics fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital and earned a Masters of Science in Bioinformatics from the Health Sciences and Technology division of MIT and Harvard Medical School. Additional training was obtained through the Summer Program in Clinical Effectiveness at the Harvard School of Public Health, the MedStar executive leadership program at the Georgetown University School of Business, and the product management certificate program at the UC Berkley Haas School of Business
